Fashioned similar to a roller shade, our hand crank drop curtains serve the same purposes as our standard drop curtains, plus some!
Picture a rather large roller shade mounted on the outside of your window made of a fabric that blocks most UV rays, and that you can still see through. If you add an optional custom made canvas covered wooden box to cover and protect the roll, with a hand crank on either side the picture will be complete! What you have is probably one of the most convenient and effective ways to keep your house cool in the summer, without sacrificing a thing!
Everyone knows that the best way to keep your house cool is to keep the sun off of your window glass. A hand crank drop curtain, as described above will do just that; blocking UV rays and keeping the sun from heating the glass in your room, but still enabling you to enjoy your view and the sunlight.
