At City Shade we offer a few varieties of residential
awnings to serve your sun and rain protection needs. Our standard Rope Pull-up awnings
offer affordable shade protection for your home, as well as enhance it's value and
appearance, as do our Stationary framed awnings. Let's explore which is right for you.
What is a Rope Pull-up Awning?
With a galvanized pipe fit frame, a rope pull-up awning can
easily be pulled up out of the way to allow sunlight in whenever desired; and let down
just as easily to provide the protection against the sun that you need. Usually used on
residential windows, these awnings liven up the appearance of any home. As with any canvas
awning that we produce, valance design is strictly your option so that you can create just
the right "look" for your home.
When considering a rope pull-up awning it is
important to remember that the awning roof heighth and projection that the awning will
come out from your home must be equal, to allow the awning to fold in half. If you have
limited space above your window for mounting, a rope pull-up may not be the right thing
for you. But never fear! There are other ways to get the job done!
Stationary Frame
Awning / Door Hoods
With an appearance similar to our rope pull-up awning, our
stationary awnings offer a much wider range of sizes. The only difference is that they are
not "foldable". Our stationary awnings feature the same galvanized pipe fit
framework as do our rope pulls, however with buck braces on both sides, and support braces
on larger awnings every 8'.
When considering this type of awning you must consider
mounting surface space, but only to insure that there will be adequate slope to the roof
of your awning to allow for rain run-off. Our experts will help you decide which awning,
size, and shape is best for you.
